Overview

Daily Bible Guidance, also known as Light for Today, provides daily Bible guidance, Bible reading progress, language preferences, and support contact features.

Information We Collect

• Account information, such as your email address and account identifier.
• App activity, such as your daily guidance state, app open count, announcement viewed state, language preference, guide sound preference, and saved Bible reading progress.
• Devotional activity, such as the Bible guidance sessions shown to your account and your saved Bible reading place.
• Support information, such as your name, email address, subject, and message when you contact support.

We do not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, SMS, phone, photos, videos, or files.

How We Use Information

• Create and manage your account.
• Show daily Bible guidance and save your current guidance state.
• Save Bible reading progress.
• Provide English and Filipino language preferences.
• Show app announcements.
• Respond to support requests.
• Keep the app secure and working properly.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to operate the app, including authentication, database hosting, and website/app hosting. These providers process information on our behalf so the app can function.

If required by law, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations or protect rights, safety, and security.

Third-Party Services

The app may use the following services:

• Supabase for authentication and database services.
• Google sign-in when you choose to continue with Google.
• Bible API requests to load KJV Bible chapter text.
• Hosting services for the web app served inside the Android app.

These services may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Data Security

Information is transmitted using HTTPS or equivalent secure transport. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards for the information processed by the app.

Data Retention

We keep account and app activity information while your account remains active or as needed to provide the app. Support messages may be retained as needed to respond to requests, prevent abuse, and maintain records.

Account And Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated app data from the account deletion page. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize associated profile data, guidance sessions, Bible progress, cycle state, announcement views, and support messages unless retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate operational reasons.

Children

The app is not specifically directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
